6-month Pharmacy Development Programme

Your team already gives health advice. Give them the training to back it up.

Most pharmacy staff learn the job by watching whoever is standing nearest. PharmLearn replaces that with a paced 6-month programme every learner is enrolled in from day one — patient assessment, referral red flags, customer service, cash and stock, professional conduct — each lesson assessed, each course certified, every branch held to the same standard.

Start free today — one intro course per academy, no card required. Your first lesson takes minutes, not a training day off the floor.

The problem

The people your patients trust most are the least formally trained

Graduates arrive with theory and no counter experience. Interns shadow whoever is on shift. Attendants pick things up as they go. And when an owner asks who is genuinely competent to assess a patient or refuse a request, there is no honest way to answer. None of it is anyone's fault — it is simply how pharmacy training has always worked.

"Just watch me and you'll pick it up"

A new attendant starts on Monday. There is no training day — there is a queue. So they learn from whoever is free, inherit that person's habits, and nobody ever checks what they actually absorbed.

Three branches, three different answers

The same question about a cough, a refund, or an expiring pack gets handled differently depending on which shop the patient walks into. Your brand promise is only as consistent as your least-trained shift.

The pause before the answer

A patient describes chest pain. A customer raises their voice. Someone asks for an antibiotic without a prescription. Good people freeze — not from carelessness, but because nobody ever gave them a framework for that moment.

The solution

A 6-month path every learner is enrolled in from day one

Nobody has to decide what to study, and no manager has to build a curriculum. Each month has a theme, and concepts are always introduced before they are needed — the patient assessment frameworks come first, so the clinical and ethics scenarios that depend on them actually land. Six months in, your newest hire has covered the same ground as your best one.

What changes

Confident staff at the counter. Clear answers in the office.

Six months from now, the same shift looks different: staff who assess before they advise, spot the referral, hold the line politely on a request they should refuse — and an owner who can prove it.

For learners

Learning that ends in proof, not a tick

Reading lessons, interactive cards, flashcards and real counter scenarios — each closed out by a knowledge check. You only move on at 80%, and you can retake as often as you need. Nobody is left pretending they understood.

Something to show for it

Every completed course earns a PDF certificate with a unique serial number, and finishing the programme earns an overall Programme Certificate. Valid for a year and renewable — evidence of competence you can put in front of an employer or a regulator.

A tutor who never guesses

Paid learners can ask the AI Tutor anything and get answers drawn strictly from PharmLearn's approved materials. No invented clinical advice — just the standard your organisation has already signed off on.

Fits between customers

Mobile-first, short lessons, progress that picks up exactly where you left off. Training happens in the quiet ten minutes, not on a day the shop cannot spare.

For organisations

Know where everyone stands

Live tiles show who has not started, who is behind, on track or ahead — across the whole organisation or one branch. The quiet learner who has stalled stops being invisible.

Run the team, not the spreadsheet

Add learners, assign branches and job titles, approve job-title change requests and nudge stalled staff with a reminder — all from the dashboard, in a few clicks.

Answer "is my team competent?" with evidence

Knowledge check performance, quiz attempts, final assessment results and certificate expiry, exportable as a branded PDF or CSV you can take into a board meeting or an inspection.

Your standards, not just ours

Upload your own SOPs and handle staff requests for missing SOPs or equipment in one place, so the way your organisation does things is written down and reachable at the counter.

Who it's for

Whatever your role, the same shift in confidence

Pharmacy owners & organisations
"This is how I standardise my organisation." One programme every branch runs, dashboards that show who is genuinely ready, and certificate tracking so training is a documented asset rather than a promise.
Superintendent & community pharmacists
"This makes me a better clinician — and my team safer." Shared frameworks for assessment, referral and refusal mean the advice given when you are not on the floor still sounds like yours.
Pharmacy technicians & attendants
"I'll feel confident serving any patient." The exact routines the counter demands — greeting, WWHAM assessment, red flags, cash handling, FEFO and expiry control — practised until they are second nature.
Intern pharmacists
"This prepares me for real practice." Give your internship a spine: a sequenced programme with assessed proof of progress, instead of months of shadowing whoever happens to be on shift.
Pharmacy & pharmacology students
"This gives me the practical skills university doesn't teach." Scenario-based lessons drawn from day-to-day pharmacy work — so you walk into your first placement already knowing how the counter behaves.
